I just read a really interesting article in WSJ about the way digital printing is changing the high fashion world. Basically designers are taking photos of things ranging from scenery, like the garden pool below, to peeling paint in a subway, and then uploading the pictures onto their computer and playing with them until they get a design they can then use to make a dress/outfit, etc. This process has been in existence for a long time, but recently the quality has been improved to create better, more realistic prints, allowing high-end designers to adopt or consider using the process. Some designers say they will never make the change and others love it...what do you think?
