Let it snow...

I woke up to 15 degree weather this morning...absolutely freezing! But all this cold weather has really made me realize how much I miss a fireplace to warm my toes. Just looking at these images makes me excited to get to a real house next week!

My new project...

I was over at a friends a few weeks ago up here and noticed she had maximized her space and seating area by making her ottoman her coffee table. I loved the look and idea, so started finding a few pictures of my own for inspiration. Here are a few that I found that I like:

And then these were the pieces I liked and might try and use for a similar effect:

Dear Mr. Wachovia,

I would like just enough money to buy a house with a bedroom that opens to a courtyard of sorts.

Super cool new store

I only have a few bookmarks on my Safari browser: The Moment Blog, NYT Art and Design, Wachovia, Gmail and now Need Supply Company. The clothes are simple, affordable and stylish.

Remember when....

We went to Spain for Spring Break? I was randomly thinking about that trip today while reading a blog, and remembered how cool it was that we got to go to Botin, the oldest restaurant in the world! I decided to google it and found out even more cool facts about the restaurant...1. It's mentioned in The Sun Also Rises and was one of Hemingway's favorite restaurants. 2. The painter Goya worked as a dishwasher there...supposedly. Pretty cool, huh? Here are some pics I found from our trip/the internet...reminiscing is fun.

Brook Farm General Store

I love the simple, old fashioned (and well priced) gifts at Brook Farm General Store. I could probably find something for everyone on my list on this one website. I also would love to go there in person on my next NYC trip.

Share!

I think I've mentioned this before, but its too good to let it slip through the cracks. This website One King's Lane is a designer discount site for home goods...especially great during wedding season! I think this link should work to sign yourself up...share

And for more info read about it here

Missing ATL?

After moving to Houston, I find myself missing the beautiful old houses in Atlanta. In Houston, the houses are big and glitzy. In Atlanta, the houses are old, classic and simple. I never thought it would be my style, but I sure do miss the traditional homes! Here are some of my favorite Atlanta homes:
