Normally floral prints would not be my thing, remind me too much of the days of Laura Ashley. But these days I seem to be singing a different tune, and I find that I like them a lot when they are paired with accessories or other garments that make them a little less prissy. Floral with an edge.
This last floral jacket you may remember from Jessica Alba's Teen Vogue cover or The City episode....apparently there is also a little counterfeit controversy as well that you can read about here. Anyway, I imagine this being really cute paired with just a white tank, jeans, and these boots (I'm so in love with these I'll probably have to buy them and not eat)!
or statement piece? I love the idea of super simple clothing with one of these great necklaces to add a little something. Lucky Mag did a great necklace feature recently, and these were some of my favs! (most are pretty reasonable too!)
Garden and Gun recently featured a garden in Milledgeville, GA which inhabits land that was once part of Andalusia, Flannery O'Connor's farm. The garden looks absolutely amazing. The couple uses it primarily for entertaining: brunches, dances, basically any sort of party. I had to share these pictures, because I know I can't stop looking at them...and imagining the fĂȘtes I would throw!
Mary Catherine showed me a loft in Atlanta today, and I liked this stack of books.
I have tons of books that I want to hold on to, but I am never quite sure what to do with them. I am usually just worried about the way books get dusty so quickly. Maybe I'll stack my books like this. But I'll have to get this little guy, too!
Speaking of that little guy, I keep seeing him everywhere. Like in this James Merrell photo.
So today when I was walking around my neighborhood, I noticed a house for sale that I liked. For really no reason at all, I decided to look it up. Lo and behold, this house has my favorite horse triptich in REAL LIFE. Amazing.
