I'll tell you why I like this room by Vincente Wolf. Because of that traditional end table with the nesting table right under. I feel like we all have some hand-me-down tables like the larger, and then the cube table is right here at Jonathan Adler.

I like...
If I ever decide to change my room around (possibly if I move apartments in September...) I think this would look cool over my bed. The painting by Carolyn Holman is called Rainbow Meadow #3 and is for sale at Sundance (art work, who knew?). The canvas is actually a wood panel that Holman then layers with beeswax, resin crystals, and pigment, all blended with a blow torch. I think this little bit of color would look great in my otherwise neutral bedroom.

My Fav Summer Drink...
The Crevasse
I know you probably have gotten the email with the sidewalk painting about 10 times by now, but I still am mesmerized looking at this.

What a bargain
For my birthday, Kate gave me Green is the New Black, which details the reasons why I should not be shopping at Walmart and many other stores. And while I do agree with alot of the book, I just have to go against it and buy the Parson Table or Parsons Desks from Walmart. I do feel a bit guilty, but these prices! And this perfect copy of the Parsons tables! And my new, unfurnished apartment in Houston!

For the beach...
I think these Skout pillows would look cool on a white/whicker outdoor couch on a deck at the beach. The pillows are inspired by vintage grain sacks, and they work with "reclaimed, recycled and vintage" fabrics. Good for you + environment! They have a lot more neat designs online...check it out.

Finally
So I have been feeling really uninspired by Atlanta designers. I feel like everyday an Atlanta design magazine comes out, it's another watered down beach look... UNTIL I saw a recent Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles article featuring Keith Summerour's fantastic hunting lodge in Meriwether County, GA. When I finally have a lake house/country house/ranch/lodge I want it to look very similar to this (maybe not as tall).
Mmmmmm.
so quick, so good...

YSL Rings
I am liking these YSL rings at Net-a-Porter. All around $195, which is relatively well-priced for Net-a-Porter.

I've been very MIA...I know
But this is the first weekend I will be in town (NYC) since Summer has begun! I'm pretty excited about it, and on my list of things to do is visit our new TopShop (well sort of new...). TopShop is one of those places, at least in London, where I can get very overwhelmed by the amount of clothing/disorganization. BUT last time I was there I discovered a neat "vintage" floor and found an adorable, very inexpensive dress, so I'm excited to give this one a try. Here are some of the things that have caught my eye from the USA website:

I'll just ride on the coattails
The best part of going to SCAD was the other students. This is a student's senior project and it is pretty amazing. Go here for "the making of."
Weekend plans
Looking very forward to the Richard Misrach exhibit at the High. I am planning on going Sunday afternoon. Woohoo!
